Kshetrakala Academy was formed as a cultural and educational institution formed under the the leadership of Malabar Devaswom Board of Kerala Devaswom. The primary objective of Kshetrakala Academy is to encourage. the temple art forms, propagate and popularize them and to renovate the temple art forms which are in a vanishing stage from the cultural scenario. The method for these activities were planned to be in an effective method by providing training and development of temple arts, collecting, organizing and protecting valuable cultural treasures of temples arts, give opportunity for the artistes and public to perform and appreciate the different variety of temple art forms, giving aid to the suffering artistes, recognizing the skilled artistes, conducting cultural events for the young generation to introduce these art forms and so on.
Kshetrakala Academy was formed officially in 2013 but the full functionalities were channelized in 2016.
Initial deliberations were held in 2013 under the leadership of Doctor A. K. Nambiar T. V. and Rajesh MLA, but the first governing body of the Kshetrakala Academy came into force on 05-3-2014 as per Government Order No. 1197/2014 RD. Dr. Koramangalam Narayanan Namboothiri as Chairman and PC Ramakrishnan as Secretary was not able to carry out significant activities.But Revenue (Devaswom) Department U (org.) No. 5362/2016/ Rev. Thirunanthapuram, vide order dated 14-12-2016 on 06-01-2017 Dr. K.H. Subramanian Chairman and Dr. YV Kannan as secretary worked actively as the governing committee.
Structure of organization of the Kshethakala Academy includes a Chairman, the present Chairman is Kanhangad Ramachandran, a Secretary, present secretary is Sree Krishnan Naduvalath and a governing body including eight members for the entire functioning of Kshetrakala Academy. Now this establishment has become a active presence in the socio cultural environment of Malabar.
As per the order of U (org.) No.5132/2022/RD dated 18.12.2022, Thiruvananthapuram, the eight-member management committee with Kanhangad Ramachandran as chairman and Krishnan Naduvalath as secretary took charge on 17 February 2023.

Native of Cheruthazham in Kannur district. Father Late Govindhan Nair. Mother Late Naduvilath Parvathi amma. Graduated in Malayalam literature from University of Calicut. He was written poem compilations named Harithapurathe Ekaki, Oronningane, Ettavum priyankaranaya shathruvinod ithramathram, Attuveezhunnund uchaveyilil viralukal, Kakka perukkunna kutty, Karuthal, Rathrivarum mumb and novels named Pulimada, Arathiparamb. Honored with Vidyarangam Award of Department of Education Govt. of Kerala. Adyapaka kala sahithya samithi Award, thulunad novel Award etc. Writer of stage shows named Madhavam, Bhagathsing. More than three hundred songs, drama named Uchasooryante sheersham, Peedith sathayude pin nottangal etc. Now working as secretary of kshethrakala academy.

He won the Sangeet Ratna award by performing a music concert for 25 hours continuously.
In 1996, he won the best singer award in the state level drama competition followed by Gandharva Gana Award, Ayirur Sadashivan Award, AT Ummer Award, MS Baburaj Award of All Kerala Mappila Sangeet Akademi, Rabindran Foundation Award named after music director Ravindran Master, Navaratna Award of Lions Club, Perinchallur Sangeet Sabha Pattum. He was also honored with the title of Sangeeta Kulapathi as per customary etiquette.
Honored with International Tamil University USA Delit. He has also been honored with the fellowship of the Kshetrakala Academy.
Hon. Kalyasseri constituency MLA. A native of Edat Nodicherry, Kunhimangalam Panchayat, Kannur District. He became the winning MLA from Kalliaseri constituency in 2021 assembly election. He was active in the field of social service from an early age and later became active in the political field. He became active in the public political sphere through activities in Balasangham. He held the duties of Balasangham State Secretary in 2011 and SFI State Secretary in 2018. Since 2018, he has been working as the State Vice President and Central Committee Member of DYFI. Currently he is also a member of CPIM Kannur district committee. He has experience as a Chenda artist in a local art troupe. He was an active organizer of Paya Venalthumpi, Asia's largest children's contract mat. Graduated with a Masters in Philosophy. He is the son of Bhaskaran and Vasantha. Ashwati Sai Raj wife son Naithal.
